Nude Together

Maddss,
A post I missed! Alas! India has no shame. Perhaps it never did! I too have screamed elsewhere the same truth - The shameless display of vote rigging that happened at the Parliament yesterday , 22 July, 2008, is a proof of what Indians care about. So far, we had heard of state and general elections being rigged, but the display of money to the tune of Rs. 1 crore as bribe with promise for 8 more after the trust vote, has brought to reality the face of Indian politics at its worst. Despite the derogatory allegations made against the Prime Minister by Lal Kishore Advani that he was “hen-pecked” by Sonia Gandhi and that he could not make a single statement without her permission, despite, the open secret that Amar Singh, the ex-Chief Minister of Utter Pradesh had gone to the US and collected Rs 5,000 crores from the US government, in order to help the Indian Government to bribe the ministers for their vote, despite the fact, that many of those who voted were criminals serving sentences in the jail, the UPA has won the Vote of Trust and will carry on, just because, money spoke louder than anything else.

This Age That We Call Ours

My dearest darling,

I can only say this - there is a little bit of good and a little bit of bad in everyone! and it is only time, circumstances and state of mind at any point of time that determines which way we are going to swing, individually or as a collective. That apart, both good and bad are relative terms and apply to us individually, depending on what we think to be good or bad, that is to say, there is a body of thoughts and ideas behind the idea of good or bad.

I do not believe in the victim theory. We are all actors in our own play. There is something to gain from every experience, which is why, we do things or have things done to us, in a certain way. Unless, we take responsibility for our acts and the acts of others where we have in some way participated, we can never change ourselves either. Hence, apathy is that looking glass through which we want to see the world right now. Perhaps, we don't want to get involved right now. We need time and space. Lets call it, the age of apathy.....and this too will pass!

You are an excellent thinker. And often I tell my friends, Sup is so intelligent, actually, she is ahead of times

~ peace~ Julia

I Fell In Love With A Faceless Person

Mrs Muffet,
Yes, it is a possibility too that one can chat without love implications. However, it is for a certain age-group I think as our protagonist. Or older who is just passing time, I guess! Anyway, as long as something is within limits, I mean, what the hell!

Forgiveness

Sup,
I must say, this is real deep. Its hard, more easily said than done - this thing called forgiveness! Even then, for our own selves, we must!

Anne,
It is a beautiful poem, so true for many of us. The reality of this hits you like a hard hitting fact....yes, bridges we must burn them all, only then we can move on!

I Fell In Love With A Faceless Person

One percent,
A cent per cent truth stated! many thanks! See! How dangerous it can be! Also, I wish to say here that, I know in the present world a lot of relationships are long-distance and over phone calls, email, virtual world etc, but to tell you the truth, it is to my mind impossible to sustain a long distance relationship which is only virtual. Our brains require to see, touch, feel, BE WITH that person. It is a basic human need!
Thanks for your comment,
Julia
